Engineering Supervisor

We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to provide leadership and organization within the Engineering Department while gaining valuable experience within all aspects of the company. An individual with basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing capabilities, ERP & 3D software preferred. Assist in assessing performance goals allowing the organization to mature in its lean culture. This position will include serving as a mentor to train and coach employees to continuously improve the process, leading to higher productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Job Functions :

• Monitor the backlog of existing quotes and orders. Keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently in order to meet customers deadlines.
• Measure and benchmark performance weekly.
• Work with Sales Manager to determine an intelligent quoting strategy, which will provide continuous flow of work while maintaining profitability.
• Serve as the liaison between engineering and other departments. Be involved in Quote Review and PO Acceptance / Transfer meetings.
• Be involved in any customers issues or concerns, as it relates to engineering.
• Work with ISO compliance manager to establish and maintain procedures and standards.
• Mentor engineers and supporting staff.
• Work with Quality Department to discuss and lay out project specifications.
• Ensure technical accuracy of work.
• When customers are on site, maintain a high profile consistent with the supervisory role. Involvement with customer quality visits.
• Identify special department projects and assign personnel to accomplish these company goals. These should be lean initiatives. Give expected completion dates and monitor for progress.
