What You Will Do
- Apply principles of Systems Engineering to drive the architecture and development of new storage and PV solutions for C&I markets.
- Author the systems requirement document (SRD) and architectural documents including interface documents, sequence diagrams and integration plans.
- Design and build test setups in the lab.
- Participate in integration efforts once prototypes are available in the systems engineering labs, including communication and power testing.
- Report progress to management, orally and in presentation form.
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders across geographies relevant to the domain.
- Address the team's technical questions on architecture, design, and industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews of the components that go into the system.
- Investigate future technologies.
Who You Are And What You Bring
Minimum of a B.Sc. with 2+ years' experience in electrical / electronics, or an advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) with no experience.Excellent communication skills.Strong hands-on lab experience.Good understanding of AC and DC circuits.Highly motivated, energetic, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Desired Skills
Experience developing systems with HW / FW and embedded SW.Knowledge of C&I solar and storage design and installation.Knowledge of C&I building management systems.Experience in renewable energy systems and power electronics design.Experience with SunSpec and Modbus.Strong software programming skills including C / C++ and Python.Work Location

Ability to carry, lift and move objects including above head level.Ability to perform wiring, soldering or assembling tasks with motor skills and without supervision.Ability to visit sites for field work and data collection.May be required to visit construction sites, including flat commercial roofs (visits facilitated by professional crews).Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $118,000. This salary range may be modified in the future. Starting pay is determined based on job-related skills, experience, education, work location, and market conditions. This position is eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
