Overview

General :

The M.C. Dean, Inc. Maritime Division works at shipyards worldwide from our regional offices in Chesapeake, VA, and San Diego, CA. Become a key member of our Alteration Installation Teams, supporting C4ISR system installations on ships and submarines. Minimum Education :

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience :

  • 5,000 hours of professional scheduling within the past nine (9) years
  • Alternatively, 3,500 hours with a Project Management Professional (PMP Certification)

    • Abilities :

  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of project lifecycle
  • Stakeholder impact analysis
  • Change management control
  • Scheduling terminology
  • Project management software
  • Schedule documentation and reporting techniques
  • Scheduling data management information systems
  • Scheduling techniques including resource leveling, schedule compression, simulations, Gantt charts
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis, performance index, baseline execution index, float analysis
  • Contract schedule requirements

    • Physical Requirements and Safety Certifications :

  • Occupational Safety Haz-Mat
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

    • Security and Work Locations :

  • Work primarily in San Diego, CA, and Norfolk, VA, with possible travel to other shipyards nationwide and Navy ports outside the USA
  • Work at government facilities; US Citizenship and eligibility for clearance required
  • Must pass a background investigation
  • Valid driver's license

    • Additional Abilities :

  • Extended exposure to computer screens
  • Sitting for long periods
  • Reach by extending hands or arms
  • Finger dexterity for manipulating objects (e.g., keyboard)
  • Listening and understanding spoken information
  • Effective communication skills
  • Reading and understanding written information

    • Salary : $100,200 - $160,320
