We partnered with an industry leading Design / Build Contractor to identify a Buildings Superintendent in Sioux Falls, SD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily field operations, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors and self-perform crews.
  • Oversee installation of concrete / flatwork , interior / exterior finishes , and other building components.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and owners to address field challenges and implement solutions.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and productivity, providing updates and reports as required.
  • Lead site safety initiatives, enforce company policies, and promote a culture of zero incidents.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to plan work sequences and anticipate potential issues.
  • Assist in developing project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
  • Mentor and support foremen and craft professionals to foster career growth and maintain high performance standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of field supervision experience in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Direct experience or supervision of subcontractors conducting concrete / flatwork and building finishes is required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
  • OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
