Farmers Rice Milling Company is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Scale Room Operator to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of our milling operations.   • Serve as a communication hub between farmers, truck drivers, and internal teams via CB radio, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Accurately input truck and load data into our computer systems.
  • Grade incoming rice and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain organized and accurate daily documentation.
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance on sample milling machines.
  • Collect and process rice samples systematically.
  • Occasionally perform manual probing of trucks.
  • Keep the scale room and office area clean and well-organized.

Qualifications

  • Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift 50 lbs and maintain good physical health.
  • Availability : Willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong computer literacy and data entry accuracy
  • Soft Skills :
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or collaboratively
