General Surgery Physician

This facility is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & requirements for this opportunity :

• Schedule : 24 hour call coverage
• Practice Setting : Inpatient and Outpatient
• Types of Cases : Upper and Lower Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, lower gastroenterology tract with a fiberoptic flexible instrument inserted into the rectum and advanced to the beginning of the colon, appendectomy, hernias, hysterectomies, gall bladder removal, biopsies, and basic thoracic
• Credentialing Timeframe : 60-90 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) : Epic
• Certifications Required : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Active Kentucky license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

Located at the confluence of the Tennessee and Ohio rivers, Paducah is well known as a hub of activity in western Kentucky. The city is halfway between much bigger metropolises St. Louis and Nashville, both of which are just a short daytrip away.
