The Production Component & Inventory Technician is responsible for ordering, installing, and maintaining production components, managing inventory of tools and components, and ensuring equipment is set up accurately according to blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Component Installation & Maintenance
- Order, install, assemble, and maintain production hardware and equipment.
- Read, interpret, and execute blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installations.
- Ensure all installations meet safety, quality, and production standards.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory of production components, tools, and machine components.Receive, label, store, and organize incoming parts.Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to prevent shortages.Conduct periodic cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to support manufacturing schedules.Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance, and inventory.Identify opportunities to improve hardware storage and inventory systems.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred.2+ years of experience in component installation, mechanical assembly, and inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is required.Familiarity with plastic manufacturing equipment or production processes is a plus.Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, inventory management software).Ability to lift and handle items up to 40 lbs.Effective communication skills.Performance Indicators
