ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Alamogordo, NM 88310 (New Mexico healthcare jobs) Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 17 / 2026) Employment Type : Travel Nursing (locum tenens ER RN) Shift : 12-hour night shifts (multiple start times : 3pm – 7pm) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend days per 6 weeks On Call Requirement : 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks Floating : May be requested but is unlikely Nurse / Patient Ratio : 1 : 4-5 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1680 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state (Registered Nurse jobs in New Mexico) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required) Current TNCC certification Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Ability to complete orientation and competency validations ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Care for a broad spectrum of patients : clinic cases, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy issues, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department needs Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for effectiveness and side effects Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and available resources Delegate tasks and assignments to other healthcare providers as appropriate Participate in scheduled on-call and weekend rotations Maintain annual competency verification and engage in ongoing professional development Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
