Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a NY license and at least 5 years of ED experience for an emergency department position requiring EPIC and crisis evaluation skills.

Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting

Night shift schedule from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

Required to work every other weekend and holidays

Caregivers may float to similar units as needed

Uses EPIC for charting and documentation

Must be able to perform crisis evaluations for mental health patients in the ED

Responsible for providing emergency care and performing crisis evaluations for mental health patients

Orientation includes an ECG competency exam, with contract termination possible for failing to achieve 85% or higher

Former staff who have worked at this facility in the past year or within the AMC network in the past six months will not be considered

Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 5 shifts during the contract

First-time travelers are accepted

Requirements Active NY RN license required

Minimum 5 years of current emergency department RN experience

Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Proficiency with EPIC EMR required

Must be able to pass an ECG exam upon arrival (study material provided in advance)

Applicants must not reside in the following NY counties : Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany

Flu vaccine required; medical or religious documentation due 10 days before start

Facility physical examination required at candidate expense
