Police Personnel Ott Cribbs
Salary : $20.46 - $25.57
Under general supervision, perform office and clerical duties in support of commissioned and civilian investigative personnel. Performs data entry, timekeeping, and other administrative functions. Assists investigators with digital media collection and entry into county case filing system.
Essential Job Functions :
- Timekeeping and Payroll functions, including but not limited to :
Entering and modifying time entries.
Scheduling and reviewing leave and time-off entries.Verifying the accuracy of payroll entries and approving them for submission.Serving as the primary contact for resolving payroll-related inquiries and disputes.Performs a variety of administrative checks including but not limited to :Performing driver's license checks and verifications.
Conducting criminal background and history checks.Warrant checks / verification.Perform general office responsibilities, including :Scanning, copying, filing and file organization, appointment management.
Handle incoming phone calls and communications from the public, providing assistance in a professional and respectful manner in accordance with the Department Policies and guidelines.Acts as the primary point of contact for the public in a courteous and professional manner, with potentially adversarial customers, on topics including but not limited to :Case Inquiries
Information or evidenceServes as a subject matter expert by educating employees and the public on the case management process.Assist detectives with the collection of digital media and other evidence from the property room.Coordinate purchases and inventory of equipment, furnishings, and supplies.Other Job Functions :
Assist with training of other employees when necessary.Complete special projects and perform other related duties as needed or directed.Minimum Qualifications : Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Knowledge of office and administrative practices and procedures.Skill in using PC Software including current Microsoft Office Suite of applications.Skill in communicating professionally and tactfully with other city employees and the public by oral and written means.Skill with organization and attention to detail.Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment utilizing knowledge of the organization's policies.Ability to work independently under general instructions.Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including but not limited to filing, pulling, seeing, sorting, squatting, standing, stooping, twisting body, typing, walking, and writing.Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including but not limited to PC, telephone, scanner, and copier.Ability to prioritize deadlines and tasks.Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly.Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish unit objectives.Ability to work within a set schedule.Ability to research and analyze information to identify trends and patterns.Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.Qualifying Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Two (2) years of experience in a clerical or administrative support role.Preferred Qualifications : Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Knowledge of criminal laws and procedures.Knowledge of case management processes and procedures.Knowledge of Law Enforcement policies and procedures.Knowledge of Law Enforcement Resource Management System (LERMS).Preferred Education and Experience :
College coursework in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Administration, or related field a plus.Experience in Law Enforcement or legal setting.Experience with data entry, timekeeping, and database management.Experience with performing administrative checks, such as driver's license verification and background checksEmployment Screenings Required :
