About the Role

Reliance One is hiring a Cloud Systems Engineer for one of our clients in Grand Rapids, Michigan . In this role, you’ll work with a cross-disciplinary team to automate the migration of customer applications to a cutting-edge cross-cloud hosting infrastructure. You’ll also implement automation for ongoing monitoring of customer environments, internal applications, and infrastructure — helping to establish a new standard for reliability and resilience.

You’ll serve as a technical leader within the SRE team, promoting collaboration and demonstrating ownership of critical infrastructure components.

Essential Functions

• Run production infrastructure, ensuring sites and applications are available within established SLAs.
• Improve documentation by explaining the why , not stopping with the what .
• Influence and implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions across all BHSH infrastructure to reduce manual workload.
• Plan for infrastructure growth and scalability across new and existing applications.
• Use a data-driven approach to collaborate with development, engineering, and architecture teams to enhance reliability, performance, and availability.
• Proactively safeguard infrastructure and applications to meet security and compliance requirements.
• Operate and maintain existing container platforms and CI / CD pipelines.
• Provide emergency response support through on-call participation or escalation handling when needed.
