Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position in California requiring an active CA RN license and prior Neuro ICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Neuro ICU unit of a hospital setting
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 2
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Every other weekend required
  • May float to the Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department
  • Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience is required
  • Modules are completed during orientation with an average of 1-5 hours, recorded through e-learning
  • Only one holiday request will be approved for time off
  • Return staff policy requires at least one year since last employment as a traveler
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a local rate
  • Candidates must provide two supervisor references from the past two years

  • Active CA RN license in hand before consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of Neuro ICU experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, all AHA
  • TNCC certification preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
