• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• Full-time position with 2 openings available
• Weekend requirement : Yes
• On-call requirement : Every other week
• Will rotate float to Med / Surg telemetry if not needed in unit
• Nurse to patient ratio : 1 : 5
• Provide care for orthopedic patients including joint replacements, fractures, shoulder and podiatry cases
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
• Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and family members
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Required certifications : BLS, RN License in state of employment or compact
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
