Senior Interior Architectural Professional

New York City, NY

Our client, a world-renowned innovator in architecture and workplace design, is seeking a Senior Interior Architectural Professional to lead workplace and interior architecture projects from concept to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive design excellence, mentor emerging designers, and ensure technical accuracy and client satisfaction across highly detailed projects. Multiple positions are available, with titles varying based on experience.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :

  • Leading interior and architectural projects through all phases : concept, design documentation, and construction administration
  • Developing detailed construction documents compliant with NYC codes, ADA, and agency requirements
  • Coordinating with project leaders and consultants (MEP, engineering, AV, IT, furniture, specialty vendors) for integrated solutions
  • Mentoring and coaching emerging designers to foster collaboration and technical excellence
  • Guiding clients through the design process, from interviews and test fits to approvals and project delivery
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and government approvals, ensuring quality control
  • Overseeing budgets, schedules, and staffing plans to meet project goals
  • Collaborating with contractors to translate concepts into constructible environments
  • WHAT YOU BRING :

  • 8+ years of experience in interior architecture and design, including 5+ years in technical or project leadership roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Architectural license and / or NCARB / LEED accreditation preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and constructability of materials
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage medium-to-large workplace projects
  • Exceptional communication skills, balancing creative vision with technical rigor
  • Local experience required
