We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist to provide expert diagnostic imaging services and high-quality patient care. This role involves performing a variety of radiographic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a high level of service to patients, healthcare providers, and customers in and outside the radiology department.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnostic Imaging : Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including X-rays and CT scans. Prepare patients for procedures, assess their condition, and ensure proper positioning for optimal results.
  • Patient Care : Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, explaining the process to patients and addressing any concerns. Provide care tailored to patients' age and condition (pediatric, geriatric, and general population).
  • Technical Expertise : Operate radiologic equipment, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure safe handling of films and equipment. Administer contrast media and perform special radiographic examinations (e.g., mammograms, pyelograms, arthrograms).
  • Sterile Technique : Practice aseptic procedures to prevent contamination and maintain a sterile environment in the imaging room.
  • Quality Control : Assist in maintaining quality assurance standards for imaging procedures, including mammography, in compliance with FDA and state regulations. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Clerical Support : Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling patient appointments, managing supplies, maintaining patient files, and assisting with routine paperwork.
  • Collaboration : Support the Radiology Director and healthcare team, including mixing contrast media, assisting in sterile procedures, and training students and ancillary personnel as needed.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed by the State of Nebraska as a Medical Radiographer.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Radiologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Skills & Abilities :

  • Expertise in operating radiologic equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Strong patient care skills, with the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
  • Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control practices.
  • Ability to assess and manage patient needs, including modifying procedures when necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a healthcare team.
