We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technologist to provide expert diagnostic imaging services and high-quality patient care. This role involves performing a variety of radiographic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a high level of service to patients, healthcare providers, and customers in and outside the radiology department.
Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnostic Imaging : Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including X-rays and CT scans. Prepare patients for procedures, assess their condition, and ensure proper positioning for optimal results.
- Patient Care : Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, explaining the process to patients and addressing any concerns. Provide care tailored to patients' age and condition (pediatric, geriatric, and general population).
- Technical Expertise : Operate radiologic equipment, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure safe handling of films and equipment. Administer contrast media and perform special radiographic examinations (e.g., mammograms, pyelograms, arthrograms).
- Sterile Technique : Practice aseptic procedures to prevent contamination and maintain a sterile environment in the imaging room.
- Quality Control : Assist in maintaining quality assurance standards for imaging procedures, including mammography, in compliance with FDA and state regulations. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
- Clerical Support : Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling patient appointments, managing supplies, maintaining patient files, and assisting with routine paperwork.
- Collaboration : Support the Radiology Director and healthcare team, including mixing contrast media, assisting in sterile procedures, and training students and ancillary personnel as needed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Licensed by the State of Nebraska as a Medical Radiographer.Minimum of one year of experience working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Radiologist.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).Skills & Abilities :
