Ability to use macros in Excel a plus Three + years of relevant experience required Experience managing CalARP, RPM, PSM programs for industry, government, as a regulator, or as a consultant preferred Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Physical Sciences, Engineering, or Environmental Health and Safety discipline Registration / Certification in Engineering, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or Registered Environmental Assessor preferred Any of the following training / certification is a plus : AiChe Process Hazard Analysis training (or equivalent); OSHA 10 / 30 hour general industry trainer certification; First Responder (Operations or Industrial Technician); CARO / CIRO Robust benefit package which includes medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA and life insurance – with employer paid premiums for covered employee Vacation, sick leave and paid holidays Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401k plan with company match

We are seeking a full-time Staff Environmental Specialist to join our Industrial Compliance group. We prefer this position to work out of our Sonora, CA office, but are open to the right candidate working from either our Gold River, CA or Stockton, CA office locations.
The Staff Environmental Specialist in the Industrial Compliance (IC) group takes direction from the Environmental Services Manager to perform work that aids in developing compliance programs for state and federal environmental and hazardous materials regulations. Our services include Chemical Risk Management Plans and Updates; Environmental Audits; and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans.

Position Details :
- Possess knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding handling of acutely hazardous materials and general industrial safety
- Develop plans and programs for compliance with state and federal hazardous materials and hazardous waste programs including SPCCs, business plans, inspection and training
- Write safety programs including lockout / tagout, hot work, permit program, contractor safety, training, etc.
- Possess knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and ability to quickly understand design and operation of other highly hazardous chemical processes
- Possess knowledge of CalARP, Risk Management Programs and Process Safety Management Regulations
Organize and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis meetings
Represent Condor in a positive manner to clients and potential clients
