What we're looking for

The primary objective of the Instrument / Electrical (I&E) Project Engineer is to drive project implementation for our manufacturing site. In this role, you will develop and steward our project systems / processes, which will help improve the site's overall instrumentation and electrical assets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scope of work details for instrument and electrical discipline.
  • Serve as Project Team Leader as required; accountable for project success (cost, timing, quality).
  • Provide Instrument / Electrical expertise to the plant.
  • Provide start-up assistance for new installations.
  • Participate in Design Hazard Reviews.
  • Perform equipment design calculations and provide equipment specifications for purchasing new equipment.
  • Determine drafting resource requirements and request resources when required.
  • Conduct project meetings when required.
  • Coordinate and inspect field activities; accountable for project implementation, problem solving, and coordination.
  • Ensure activities comply with the integrated management system (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality, and responsible care).
  • Work extra hours as needed to meet production objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Assist other employees in achieving company goals; follow supervisor instructions.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives and complete company-required training programs.

Qualifications

  • BS Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in I&E Project Engineering required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office.
