Material Handling Team Member- $18-20 / hour

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for pulling jobs and parts for production and shipments, moving and stocking materials to store areas for production needs, cycle counting, and requesting replenishment for stocked items in production areas. Key Responsibilities :

• Working from a live schedule “top down” for manufacturing jobs and sales orders, accurately pick parts from warehouse or stored locations to fabrication production lines as requested by live schedule and / or production supervisors
• Keep production departments supplied with in-process parts, materials and supplies
• Move completed jobs to shipping in a timely manner
• Visually inspect documentation, labels etc. prior to moving parts to the next operation or shipping
• Utilize available storage space in an efficient manner
• Stock in-process inventory in proper locations
• Maintain accurate records of available material and stock in storage areas to control in-house inventory
• Perform inventory cycle counts as needed
• Follow all ISO procedures and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Follow and promote safety rules, safe operating procedures and practices
• Active participation in ongoing individual training / development program(s)
• Set goals and objectives with supervisor; look for ways to improve quality and productivity
• Maintain good housekeeping conditions in work area
• Report abnormalities in equipment, machines, programs and processes, etc.
• Engage in training of employees and cross-training, perform backup functions to other department members as instructed
