Job Description

A well-established cable and wire manufacturing company in Santa Teresa is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join its production team on the 1st shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

  • Set up and operate extrusion and drawing machinery following established guidelines and specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of machines to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and resolve issues.
  • Assist other operators and support team efforts as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating production machinery, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with measurement tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift to 50 pounds, and work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented.
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm.
