About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Current nursing license required

Certifications : ACLS and BCLS

Must-Have :

Travelers must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.

First-time travelers are not accepted.

Locals are accepted with a rate difference.

Description :

The position is responsible for pre and post-operative areas.

The focus is on both inpatient and outpatient surgeries.

The average daily census ranges from 5 to 12 patients.

Call coverage is required one time per week and may increase if someone is unavailable.

Occasional weekend call may also be required.

The candidate must float to different pre / post areas as needed.

Candidates will be working with patients aged 12 and older, specifically females.

The unit utilizes Pyxis for medication management and EPIC for documentation.

The candidate should be proficient in various clinical skills, including airway assessment and postoperative care.

The candidate will be responsible for pain management and monitoring vital signs.

Must be comfortable with patient care procedures including blood product administration and placement of oral or nasal airways.

Critical thinking and effective communication skills are necessary for this role.

An ability to manage emergency medications and recognize dysrhythmias is vital.

Candidates should be skilled in conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care.

Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support are essential.

The position requires candidates to be available for the entire first week for hospital orientation.
