job_description.job_card.job_descriptionState Journeyman or Master License (Required) EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required) 3+ years of HVAC service experience Familiarity with BOCA Code and OSHA regulations Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills Customer-focused, self-motivated, and reliable Flexible to work variable shifts, including nights / weekends / overtime Frequently lift / carry up to 50 lbs.; occasional heavy lifting up to 80 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders / stairs Capable of wearing all required PPE Work at heights and in varied environmental conditions
Job Description
Job Title : HVAC Technician
Location : Chantilly, VA
Pay : $35 - $40 / hr DOE
Position Summary :
The HVAC Technician performs maintenance and repairs on medium to large HVAC systems and controls. This role ensures high-quality service, safe work practices, and professional customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including RTUs, heat pumps, DX systems, and control systems
- Complete preventive maintenance and inspections per service agreements
- Document work using mobile technologies and follow customer-specific protocols (e.g., IVR systems, work order logs)
- Maintain clean and professional appearance of self, tools, vehicle, and jobsite
- Communicate work status regularly with service coordinators
- Attend required meetings and training sessions
- Adhere to all safety and company policies
- Other duties as assigned
