The manager is also responsible for training, developing, mentoring and managing the performance of the distribution centers employees.
Champion safety for the facility, which includes ensuring the timely completion of training and adherence to all safety and OSHA policies.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
Ensure maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
Increase warehouse productivity through Continuous Improvement methodology and standardization.
Manage inventory to ensure accurate records are maintained, availability integrity is kept and maximum customer service is achieved.
Analyze and resolve problems as they arise and make quality decisions to remedy.
Requires a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer previous direct management of a large, multi-shift, high-volume, fast-paced warehousing environment.
Knows distribution center best practices, policies, procedures, and terms of trade.
Experiential knowledge of fiscal control, budget forecasting, and distribution operations metrics.
Excellent decision making and creative problem solving skills.
Requires computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
