Job Title : Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med-Ped)
Reports To : Physician Shareholders
Job Summary :
The Primary Care Physician (PCP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare services to individuals across the lifespan. The PCP is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as emphasizing disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness. This is a full-time employed physician opportunity with the potential to transition to partial ownership as a shareholder. The position begins as an employed role, with the opportunity to buy in as a shareholder of a well-established and respected clinic with a strong community reputation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide primary care services including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients of all ages.
- Conduct routine physical exams, preventive screenings, and immunizations.
- Manage acute illnesses, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma), and coordinate specialty referrals as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging, EKGs).
- Educate patients and families on healthy lifestyle choices, medication adherence, and preventive care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, behavioral health professionals, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and meet organizational performance metrics.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, coding, and billing standards.
Qualifications :
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty.Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.Current, unrestricted medical license in Arkansas.DEA license and prescriptive authority.Current BLS certification (as required).Skills & Competencies :
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with patients and staff.Commitment to patient-centered care and population health management.Proficiency with electronic health records and medical documentation.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Employment Details :
