Mold Designer - Precision Injection Molding | Plymouth, MN

Are you a skilled Mold Designer with a passion for precision and innovation? Join our team and help shape the future of high-performance plastic injection molding. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is driven to create molds that meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.

What You'll Do

As a Mold Designer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing Class A molds for both new and legacy products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams-including product development, tooling engineers, and production-to deliver innovative mold solutions that meet demanding engineering and production requirements.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Designing complex multi-cavity, hot runner, and high-performance molds using SolidWorks.

\n

  • Applying expert knowledge of injection molding processes to optimize flow, cooling, ejection, and cycle time.

    • \n

  • Leading design reviews and ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards.

    • \n

  • Supporting project timelines, cost estimates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    What You Bring

    \n

  • Associate degree or certificate in Plastics Engineering, Mold Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

    • \n

  • 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection mold design.

    • \n

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with CAM integration and CNC machining.

    • \n

  • Strong understanding of GD&T, DFM principles, and mold performance optimization.

    • \n

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
