Job Title : Line Support Technician
Location : Russell Point, OH | Onsite
Work Type : Contract | 25 weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking a Line Support Technician to join our onsite team in Russell Point, OH. This role is critical to maintaining the stability and performance of Tier I Production Critical Line Applications and equipment. The ideal candidate will follow documented processes to restore normal operations or escalate issues to the appropriate support teams when necessary.
e Key Responsibilities
- Provide plant floor client and end-user desktop application and network support for all Tier I computer systems.
- Collaborate with plant floor users to understand production line processes and customer needs.
- Support technology upgrades and implementations of Tier I computer systems.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from various monitoring systems related to Tier I computer systems.
- Communicate effectively with IT management for updates, direction, and escalation.
- Assist with policy enforcement and execution of established IT processes and procedures.
- Engage with external suppliers to stay informed on evolving technologies and their potential application.
Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Proven experience supporting computer applications and end-user computing devices.Familiarity with Windows 7 / 10, Active Directory, and LAN / Networking.Proficiency in MS Office and problem ticketing systems.Experience with AIX / UNIX environments.Demonstrated ability to manage Level 1 and Level 2 support calls.Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for printers, scan guns, desktop PCs / laptops, and handheld devices.Preferred Skills :
General functional knowledge of GALC / ALC systems and related business processes.Ability to follow and document processes accurately.Adaptability in a dynamic environment.Solid understanding of IT processes and development methodologies.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective time management and prioritization.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
