Description : Job Summary :
Reports to the Fulfillment Manager and is a support to them. The Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for managing all the activities related to the fulfillment process. These duties include : product fabrication and order preparation, collation, packaging and shipping. Supervisors are responsible for workflow management and informing the Manager of staffing concerns. The Supervisor will cross-train on multiple jobs, and will assume some Manager duties when the Manager is away.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Works on computers such as by managing emails and entering inventory into the system
- Manages and improve the workflow processes and procedures
- Provides recommendations for developing future automated order pickers
- Ensures workflow is accurate, efficient, and completed on-time
- Prioritizes, facilitates & expedites all production activities to meet due dates
- Analyzes orders and budget work-hours of employees
- Budgets the efficient use of materials and overhead
- Analyzes financial performance and recommends financial improvement plans
- Delivers disciplinary actions to employees as appropriate
- Ensures timecards are accurate, complete, and collected on-time
- Ensures report data is accurate, complete, and collected on-time
- Has ability to analyze data and provide reporting for :
- Equipment Utilization
- Production Cost
- Production Methods
- Delinquency Data
- Schedule Management Data
- Minimize freight expenses by being privy to shipping systems and delivery options
- Leads by example by working hard and having positive interactions with other departments
- Communicates and upholds department policies and procedures to the Department
- Conduct candidate interviews, maintain a productive staff and report staffing needs to the Manager
- Establish and schedule all training activities for the department
- Conduct performance evaluations for employees
- All other duties as requested, including supporting other departments
Requirements :
Education and Experience :
5+ years of practical management experience3+ years of supervisory experienceKnowledgeable in all aspects of Fulfillment systems, techniques, and principles, preferredFamiliar with shipping via UPS and FedEx Previous experience in Department budgeting and management is preferredProficient in working on Computers and MSQualifications, Skills, Abilities and Competencies :
