Position Overview :
Saalex is seeking a motivated Junior Logistics Procurement & Contract Data Analyst to support the Tactical Air Range Integration Facility (TARIF). This is an excellent entry point into the world of government contracting, logistics support, and financial data tracking.
In this role, you will help the TARIF team by assisting with procurement actions (quotes, purchase orders, vendor compliance checks) and by supporting contract data analysis (burn-rate tracking, invoice reconciliation, and spend plans). You will work closely with Saalex financial officers and logistics staff, gaining valuable experience in both supply chain management and contract financial support.
Essential Functions :
- Procurement Support
- Assist with preparing purchase requests, obtaining quotes, and tracking orders.
- Support vendor research and compliance checks (e.g., TAA and Section 889).
- Maintain procurement logs and organize documentation such as packing slips and invoices.
- Coordinate with logistics and engineering staff to ensure accurate purchasing support.
- Contract Data Support
- Track and enter contract expenditures into spreadsheets or reporting tools.
- Help monitor burn rates, funding balances, and financial reports.
- Work with Saalex financial officers to reconcile invoices, payments, and purchase orders.
- Support preparation of financial summaries and spend plans for review.
- Keep audit-ready records of financial and procurement activities.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
Required :
1–2 years of experience in procurement, finance, logistics, or related work (internships or coursework acceptable).Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and attention to detail.Good communication, organizational skills, and eagerness to learn.Associate’s degree or some college in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred but not required).Desired :
Familiarity with Navy / DoD contracts or logistics (preferred, but not required).Exposure to financial or procurement systems (Navy ERP, WAWF, Unanet) is a plus.Willingness to complete DAU training in Contracting, Financial Management, or Life-Cycle Logistics.Team player with a growth mindset, comfortable learning new systems and processes.Security Clearance :
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.Education :
