The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a key role in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to and from facilities. This position ensures the accurate processing of all necessary paperwork, serving as the liaison between carriers, customer service representatives, operations, and management. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining organized and efficient shipment processing to meet deadlines and operational goals.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Receive, organize, and distribute inbound / outbound paperwork via email or hand delivery.
• Schedule inbound and outbound order activities both internally and with external carriers.
• Manage drivers at entry / exit points (gate or window) and verify paperwork and seals before releasing containers.
• Ensure all documentation is checked, scanned, closed, and properly delivered.
• Handle inbound phone and email communications related to shipping and receiving.
• Complete required UPS / FedEx forms.
• Monitor and secure gate access to the facility.
• Validate container and booking accuracy to ensure correct volumes in and out.
• Conduct and reconcile yard checks as required.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by site leadership.
