Director of Human Resources / Process Improvement

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Director of Human Resources / Process Improvement is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources while advancing the organization’s commitment to continuous improvement through leadership development and Lean methodologies.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, shaping strategic direction through workforce planning, organizational development, and performance improvement. The Director fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, building strong relationships across departments to support both staff and patient experience goals.

EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead change and influence at all levels of the organization.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, although not required, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and advise senior leaders on strategic initiatives.
  • Experience leading teams and working across departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lean fundamentals experience is not required but a willingness to learn and champion continuous improvement is essential.
