This is a 13-week contract position with a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified nursing professional to provide care in Acute settings. The role includes the possibility of being floated to Medical-Surgical (MS) or MS Telemetry units. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1 : 4 within a 12-bed unit, providing Stepdown and Intermediate Care (IMC) level of care.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients with complex medical needs.

Perform procedures including arterial line placements and maintenance of chest tubes.

Administer medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, cardene, and neosynephrine.

Provide post-cardiac catheterization care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current ACLS and BLS certifications.

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Experience with acute care nursing, including relevant skills in stepdown / IMC.

A valid nursing license is required for submission.
