A company is looking for a Health Plan Medical Director Physician.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the development and execution of case management, disease management, and population health management
Conduct daily reviews of current inpatients, precertification requests, pharmacy requests, and emergency department visits
Ensure utilization review decisions are made according to Utilization Management criteria based on medical necessity
Required Qualifications
5 years of clinical experience with progressively responsible leadership experience
Health plan experience preferred
Must reside in the DC / Maryland area
Possess medical licensing in DC and Maryland
Experience in primary care is required
