4 hours per week — flexible weekdays. No weekends. No

special. Southern Health Partners is hiring a part-time medical
provider to deliver essential on-site care in a safe, controlled
jail medical unit. Ideal for semi-retired clinicians, independent
practitioners, or providers who want meaningful work — without a

experienced full-time nursing staff on site and SHP’s 30+ years of
correctional health infrastructure. Perfect side-gig or supplement :
monthly stipend + malpractice coverage for the role. What you’ll do
Provide brief on-site medical services and clinical oversight for
the inmate population. Review nursing treatment plans and medical
documentation. Prescribe and manage medications; make outside
referrals when needed. Co-sign orders and charting as required.
Offer clinical guidance and be available for on-call consultation
with SHP nursing staff. We provide Competitive monthly stipend
(independent contractor arrangement). Role-specific medical
malpractice insurance. Access to SHP policies, protocols, and
clinical support. Safe, secure medical unit and experienced nursing
team to collaborate with. Must-haves Active, unrestricted license
(MD Medical Doctor) Ability to pass background checks and obtain
facility security clearance. Strong clinical judgment and ability
to work independently. Prior correctional healthcare experience is
