Position Overview
As a High-Tech Nurse, you will deliver specialized nursing care in accordance with an established nursing plan. Your role may require flexibility, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct high-tech nursing care under minimal supervision, including :
- Ongoing assessment of patients’ physical and psychosocial health
- Ventilator monitoring and care
- Tracheostomy care and feeding tube management
- Medication administration and support with physical therapy
- Family education and support
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about care plans and treatment options.
- Collaborate with case managers and clinical staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document all clinical and administrative activities accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your nursing skills.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines while exercising clinical judgment.
Qualifications
Education : Associate's degree or higher in nursing or a related field.Experience : Minimum of 2 years in home / public health, hospice, or high-tech nursing.Licensure : Current RN or LPN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.Skills :Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and a positive attitude.Working Conditions
Travel may be required to community-based settings and clients’ homes.Work may occur during non-business hours.Potential exposure to various environmental factors and challenging situations.Essential Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently throughout the day.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs.Manual dexterity for performing nursing duties and using equipment.Visual and auditory acuity to assist individuals effectively.Why Join Us?
