Auth0 Architect (Senior Consultant)

Role Summary

As a Senior Consultant – Auth0 Architect , you will be responsible for designing and leading enterprise-scale CIAM / IAM architectures leveraging Auth0 . You’ll define technical strategy, solution patterns, and governance frameworks that ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing identity ecosystems. This role combines hands-on architectural design with strategic advisory leadership , guiding clients through every phase of their identity modernization journey.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design end-to-end Auth0-based CIAM solutions , including multi-tenant setups, custom login experiences, extensibility frameworks, and integration patterns.

Lead technical discovery and architecture design sessions with stakeholders to align business requirements with secure, scalable identity solutions.

Define and document architecture blueprints , integration strategies , and API security models using protocols such as OIDC, OAuth2, and SAML .

Provide strategic guidance on IAM modernization, Zero Trust adoption, and secure digital identity frameworks.

Oversee implementation teams, ensuring design integrity, security best practices, and long-term maintainability.

Collaborate with security, DevOps, and development teams to design CI / CD pipelines , identity lifecycle processes , and governance models .

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, influencing executive stakeholders on IAM strategy, compliance, and modernization initiatives.

Mentor engineers and consultants, providing direction on solution design, development standards, and technical documentation.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

7+ years of experience in IAM or CIAM solution design, with at least 5 years of direct Auth0 architecture or advanced implementation experience .

Strong proficiency in Auth0 tenancy design , custom login flows , rule / pipeline scripting , and enterprise integration patterns .

Deep understanding of identity protocols and extensibility methods ( OIDC, OAuth2, SAML ).

Proven experience leading architecture for enterprise identity programs —from discovery through deployment.

Excellent client-facing communication and the ability to translate technical architecture into business outcomes.

Ability to lead teams remotely , drive solution delivery, and manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Preferred Experience

Experience as a Principal Architect , Solution Lead , or Managing Consultant for large-scale CIAM programs.

Exposure to Okta (for candidates without deep Auth0 experience).

Familiarity with public sector identity initiatives , government compliance frameworks , or regulated industries .

Relevant certifications such as Auth0 Architect , Okta Certified Consultant , IDPro , or cloud identity / security credentials (AWS, Azure).

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on Auth0 / IAM experience (strong Auth0 tenancy, custom login integrations, pipeline logic, rule scripting) Okta experience is strongly desirable for candidates without direct Auth0 exposure Deep understanding of identity protocols and extensibility methods (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML) Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills Strong self-management, accountability, and business acumen Comfortable working remotely, leading technical threads, and independently driving deliverables Preferred Experience Public sector experience or familiarity with government identity programs Experience as a Managing Consultant or Principal-level architect / lead in CIAM engagements Certifications such as Auth0, Okta Certified (Okta Developer CIC or Consultant), IDPro, Microsoft Azure, or AWS identity / security credentials
