Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least one year of recent IR experience and a Compact or NC RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department with Level I trauma and teaching hospital designations
  • Provides care for both adult and pediatric patients from diverse units including ED, ICU, other nursing units, and outpatients
  • Average caseload involves 50-60 patients per day in work-up and recovery
  • Uses iSTAT, POC, and Epic EMR systems
  • Department operates with 24 / 7 / 365 coverage; schedule is per contract shift and does not rotate unless otherwise agreed
  • Call responsibility is shared fairly among all team members including travelers
  • No floating required
  • Strong support team includes lead techs, modality supervisors, and an Imaging Manager
  • Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with about 5 days of unit-specific orientation, adjustable as needed
  • Scrub color for nursing staff is navy blue
  • Holiday coverage is expected unless approved time off is granted in advance
  • Department values teamwork and a collaborative culture
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Manager approval required for time off requests

  • Active NC or Compact RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Ability to perform confidently in a high acuity, fast-paced environment with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
