Speech Language Pathologist I

Description Location : UCHealth Yampa Valley Med Center, US : CO : Steamboat Springs Department : YVMC Sportsmed FTE : Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift : Days. Monday-Friday. Pay : $36.19 - $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary : This position encompasses a diverse caseload, including Pediatrics, Acute Care, and Adult Outpatient services, with responsibilities that also include conducting modified barium swallow studies. Minimum Requirements : Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders. Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. Preferred : At least 2-3 years experience. Family-Friendly Support

Make a profound impact as you create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals. Provide extensive education to patients, their families, and caregivers regarding their communication or swallowing disorder, prognosis, therapy techniques and home practice strategies. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals (e.g. physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupation therapists, audiologists, teachers) to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
