Senior Financial Analyst

The SPLC is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who is passionate about social justice!

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by providing detailed financial analysis, strategic planning support, and data-driven insights to improve decision-making. This role will work closely with senior leadership to ensure the financial health of the non-profit while adhering to industry standards, regulations, and best practices. The Senior Financial Analyst will also support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and grant financial management.

What You'll Do

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Provide variance analysis and interpret financial data to provide insights on organizational performance.

Analyze and prepare financials for grant proposals, ensuring funding aligns with the Center's strategic goals. Track and manage expenses for each awarded grant.

Support the annual budgeting process and provide periodic reforecasts for department heads and senior leadership.

Assist in monitoring budget-to-actual performance and recommend adjustments as necessary to meet financial goals.

Work cross-functionally with program managers, development teams, and other departments to support financial goals and objectives.

Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement by streamlining, standardizing, and automating processes and reporting requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Monitor budget-to-actual performance and recommend adjustments as necessary to meet financial goals.

Perform occasional maintenance of WorkDay planning system (adaptive planning) to enable accurate budgeting / forecasting and related reporting.

Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of financial analysis to include budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting; and
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field.

Compensation & Benefits

This is an exempt role and the minimum starting salary is $97,697 annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
