American Traveler seeks an experienced Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting specializing in orthopedic and neuro cases, requiring active state licensure and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Outpatient physical therapy clinic focused on post-acute careAverage of 10 patients treated per day, with caseloads ranging from 9-11Typical diagnoses include orthopedic, total joint, vestibular, neurological, and balance difficultiesMonday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm shifts with a required 30-minute lunchNo weekends or on-call requiredProfessional attire is required; no specific color for uniformsEMR system used is CernerSupport staff includes two PTAs in the clinicIncludes 1-2 days of unit-specific orientationResponsibilities include evaluation and treatment of orthopedic, neuro, vestibular, and balance disordersClinic is closed on major holidays and operates on reduced hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's EveReturning candidates may not have worked in a direct employment role with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past year; prior PRN employment through outside firms is acceptableUnit structure includes collaboration with two PTAs and no rehab aidesFirst-time travelers are considered for this position\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient physical therapy experienceActive state or Compact (NLC) PT license required; pending licenses not accepted (license required if applicable)Current BLS certification is required; pending certifications not acceptedExperience with Cerner charting system is preferredMust provide two professional references : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibilityCopy of valid driver’s license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
