Plumbing Design Engineer

CM Engineering is a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC. We are currently seeking a talented Plumbing Designer. As an organization, we are fully committed to sustainable design.

We are seeking a designer with consulting engineering experience who will be responsible for schematic design through construction administration for offices, retail, condominiums, industrial, and multifamily residential projects.

Summary : Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications. Work is reviewed by Project Managers for the application of sound professional judgment.

Requirements :

• 5+ years of experience in building plumbing systems design.
• Design and layout engineering drawings.
• Complete plumbing calculations, including water, storm, and equipment sizes.
• Design plumbing systems including sanitary waste, vent, storm, and domestic water systems.
• Design, select, schedule, size, and specify basic plumbing system components.
• Power Distribution Systems Design.
• Knowledge of Revit is a plus; strong AutoCAD skills are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Multi-family and commercial design knowledge is a plus.
