Position Summary
Two Non-Tenure Track Faculty (NTTF) members will teach Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Curriculum, with particular need for courses such as MECH 207 : Mechatronics I, MECH 307 : Mechatronics II, MECH 339 : Thermodynamics I, MECH 439 : Thermodynamics II, MECH 342 : Fluid Mechanics for Mechanical Engineers, and MECH 344 : Heat and Mass Transfer. The individual selected will be assigned one of six NTTF working titles based on education and experience. An MS leads to working titles of Instructor, Senior Instructor, or Master Instructor; a PhD leads to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Within these two tracks, additional experience may lead to higher titles (e.g., Senior / Associate or Master / [Full] Professor).
This position supports the educational mission of the Department and reports to the Mechanical Engineering Department Head on a continuing contract, pending performance and funding. The Professor may be given responsibility for one or more undergraduate laboratories, overseeing quality, learning outcomes, and alignment with the Department's goals. Successful candidates will have opportunities to develop and teach new courses aligned with department goals.
