Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with patients of various ages, focusing on speech and language development, communication disorders, and swallowing difficulties. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance the quality of life for our patients.
- Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on strategies to improve communication skills at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- All visits will be done on patients residence (private home, group home)
- Qualifications
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy.
- Experience in pediatrics or early intervention is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to speech and language functions.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
