What you'll do :

• Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff, and other FBL personnel at all times.
• Select and re-underwrite risks for commercial lines of business in conformance with existing company practices and procedures.
• Communicate with Underwriting staff, agents and policyholders as necessary to properly carry out the functions of underwriting.
• Communicate with re-insurer to obtain adequate insurance capacity for individual risks.
• Maintain proper communication, harmony and understanding with other departments and agency force.
• Assist in conducting agent training programs.
• Mentor and train staff at the Associate Underwriter level, as needed.
