SUMMARY Paragon is seeking a Staff Scientist II / III to support a wide range of environmental projects.Primary duties will include providing data analysis, research, and technical consultation; supporting proposal preparation; preparing planning documents; leading field activities; and preparing after action reports. Support the Project Chemist and staff with planning, coordination, and quality assurance requirements and specifications for laboratories and data validators Create and QC sample tables, using Earthsoft EQuIS and Excel Manage analytical data via EQuIS, ERPIMS, FUDSChem, and Scribe Provide support to document authors and field staff as an analytical chemistry or data management SME Prepare SOPs, QAPPs, data validation and assessment reports, and other work plan documentation Oversee staff who manage the storage, usage and disposal and associated documentation of hazardous materials and hazardous waste Support proposal efforts by obtaining vendor quotes, writing technical approaches, and developing cost sheets Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Associate’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, data management, or similar; Bachelor’s degree preferred Eight to ten (8-10) years’ experience in environmental remediation and investigation activities Experience with CERCLA and RCRA regulations and processes Ability to travel Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Must have a strong working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educates others on the value of diversity; promotes a harassment-free environment; Builds a diverse workforce.
