Amerisure is recruiting for an Agency Managing Underwriter to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

Position Summary :

Serves as the primary underwriting contact for assigned agency relationships, driving top- and bottom-line results through expert risk selection, pricing, and negotiation of complex accounts. Leads agency performance monitoring, fosters strong partnerships, and advocates for agency needs while aligning with Amerisure's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate and use underwriting judgement to price and negotiate large and complex accounts.
• Assess and underwrite new business opportunities.
• Provide service excellence to agency partners.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key agency contacts.
• Attain established underwriting performance metrics.
• Maintain organized and thorough underwriting documentation.
• Utilize underwriting tools to support risk assessment.
• Collaborate and champion Amerisure's underwriting philosophy.
• Analyze agency performance metrics.
• Develop actionable strategies to address underperformance.
• Partner with internal teams for comprehensive support.
• Leverage data and analytics to enhance risk evaluation.
• Monitor and apply market intelligence.
