Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiac Telemetry night shift position with Cerner experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shifts from 6 : 00 pm to 6 : 00 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Care for cardiac short stay patients with telemetry monitoring
  • Cerner Powerchart charting experience required
  • Floating required as needed within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals depending on census
  • Every other weekend shifts are required
  • Must work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Required to wear Caribbean Blue scrubs
  • Pre-start modules must be completed (average 3-8 hours, up to 8 hours)
  • Must be willing to float as assigned to meet hospital needs
  • Holiday coverage is required with specific expectations for contracted holidays
  • RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days; if RTO includes holidays, must be willing to work at least 1 holiday
  • Team-based environment working with other cardiac care professionals

  • Active RN license or willingness to apply for a Michigan RN license within 24 hours of offer
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (will accept pending certifications if obtained prior to start)
  • Experience with Cerner charting system required
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Return staff must have a break of at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
