Overview
The Leader in Training (LIT) and Floor Leader position's primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement : "To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests." The LIT and Floor Leader performs a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by store management (e.g. cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities). Works directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates and provide leadership.

Sales Generation and Guest Service
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and consistently provide legendary service to each Guest
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires
- Anticipate and fulfill Guest's needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience
- Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education, sharing that knowledge with the Team
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
- Remain consistent on personal sales and support Teammates' presentations with the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG)
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management
- Provide legendary service throughout the store in Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area
- Understand exchange and return procedures and how to turn them into a positive guest experience
- Use the SPG daily to accomplish goals
- Meet or exceed performance standards in Buckle business builders and guest loyalty programs
- Investigate and navigate how to expand Guest selection through inventory tools and search systems
- Maintain and build good Guest relationships to develop a client-based business
- Lead by example with high showmanship, excellent customer service and attentiveness
- Communicate Guest levels to the Team and assist in developing guest relationships
- Ask business-driven and showmanship questions to Manager, Team Leaders and Teammates
- Be coachable and receptive to education in sales presentation
- Perform leadership actions and maintain high standards whether the Manager is present

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in a retail store setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
