The individual must have current Minnesota State Licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor meeting all requirements of Minnesota Statute 148F.Minimum 1-year experience in a chemical dependency facility or related and 2-3 years related experience required, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.Must know and understand the implication of parts 9530.6405 to 9530.6505 (Rule 31), and Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A (Human Services Licensing Act-HSLA), sections 626.556 (Maltreatment of Minors Act-MOMA), 626.557 (Vulnerable Act-VAA), and 626.5572 (VAA definitions).Must document 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and chemical abuse of dependency that includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, and discharge planning.On-going training on cultural awareness and demonstration of sensitivity to various cultural norms and values.Computer literate.EOSIS (formerly Meridian Behavioral Health) provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or genetics.
