Position Overview : The Lyon College School Of Veterinary Medicine is excited to invite applications for an energetic, self-starting Philanthropy Officer. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate fundraising professional to help shape the future of veterinary education in Arkansas and beyond. The Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in building lasting relationships with alumni, friends, and supporters, inspiring major philanthropic gifts that directly impact students, research, and the broader veterinary community. This is a hands-on, donor-facing position for someone who thrives on creating connections and making a meaningful difference. Experience in veterinary medicine or veterinary education is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

• Proactively identify, cultivate, and solicit potential donors, with a focus on securing major gifts of $50,000 and above.
• Develop thoughtful strategies to engage donors and match their passions with the school's most exciting opportunities.
• Initiate personal outreach, conduct face-to-face visits, and steward donors with authenticity and care.
• Collaborate closely with faculty and staff to craft compelling cases for support that inspire generosity.
• Represent Lyon College and the School Of Veterinary Medicine at donor events, visits, and community gatherings.
• Maintain clear and timely records of donor interactions and fundraising activities.
