Senior Benefits Analyst

Location : Hybrid, Houston, TX | Direct Hire

Industry : Human Resources / Benefits Administration

LHH is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to join a collaborative and tenure-focused team. This role is ideal for a benefits professional who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, values long-term impact, and is eager to contribute to the evolution of retirement programs and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries.
  • Collaborate with payroll, finance, HR, and IT teams to ensure accurate benefit-related deductions and vendor payments.
  • Maintain accurate records for employee paychecks, W2s, and internal systems.
  • Conduct audits and implement internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Monitor and interpret federal regulations; recommend updates to maintain compliance.
  • Audit and troubleshoot data interfaces between vendors and HRIS / Payroll systems.
  • Administer benefit-related systems and maintain plan documents and contracts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to support organizational growth.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic benefits decisions.
  • Manage day-to-day benefits administration and vendor relationships.
  • Provide backup support for other benefits team members as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits, HR, or a related field.
  • Experience with 401(k) programs required; pension exposure beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to support transitions from pension to 401(k) match programs.
  • Benefits-related certification is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to AI-driven tools and process innovation.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Work Environment :

  • Standard office criteria (remote flexibility available).

    Pay Details : $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
