Job Title : Heavy Civil Site Development Construction Estimator

Location : Andover, MA

Employment Type : Full-Time

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Site Development Estimator with 7+ years of proven experience in preparing accurate cost estimates for complex civil and site development projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction means and methods, and a keen ability to interpret project documents.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, and site improvements.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
  • Work with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop cost-effective solutions and bid strategies.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate and organized bid records and documentation.
  • Assist in pre-bid meetings and value engineering exercises.
  • Develop budgets and estimates for design-build and negotiated projects.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of civil / site development estimating experience.
  • Proficient in estimating software such as B2W, Bluebeam, InSite, Onscreen take off or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utilities, concrete, and asphalt construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
